The Opportunity:

Our client is looking for a Risk Control Engineer (Chemical) to manage large multi-national organisations primarily in both downstream Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals industry and will also be supplemented with survey work in other industries.

About You:

You are a self starter with the ability to effectively relate to all individuals from site technicians to CEO’s. You conduct risk assessments and provide custom technology and engineering guidance. You can develop risk improvement recommendations that are balanced between the insured and the insurer. You are comfortable arranging individual risk engineering surveys with accounting, insureds and can coordinate and manage the execution of surveys to a global basis to the satisfaction of the insureds.

Necessary qualifications include:

  • 10 years experience working within the Oil and Gas or Petrochemicals industry.
  • Degree (or equivalent) Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Comfortable with travel (approximately 90 days/year)
  • Member of engineering associations (AlChemE, IChemE, IMehE, etc) preferable
  • Experience with international engineering standards and codes (API, ASME, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA)
  • Multi-lingual English and French
