**Key Accountabilities - What You'll Conquer:**

**Underwriting Excellence:**
- Execute renewal rate and exposure, retaining the magic touch of profitability.
- Dive into the depths of risk assessment, negotiating rates, and ensuring a profitable book of business.
- You're the Sherlock Holmes of pricing decisions and risk selection, guiding your team like a true detective.
- Handling endorsements, renewals, and cancellations like a pro, making sure everything meets high standards.
- Analyze new business opportunities, assessing exposures and hazards, and spotting trends like a trendsetter.

**Sales/Negotiations Pro:**
- Forge unbreakable relationships with brokers and customers, becoming their trusted ally in the world of insurance.
- Collaborate with brokers and customers for business retention and satisfaction, even meeting face-to-face for epic interactions.
- Investigate risk factors and corporate pricing approaches to gain support and agreement while enhancing relationships.
- Spread the wisdom of underwriting philosophy and policies to brokers through your excellent communication skills.
- Spot new business opportunities and nurture them.

**Coaching/Mentoring Extraordinaire:**
- Mentor and train the underwriting newcomers, passing on your wisdom.
- Provide clear instructions and explanations for data entry to ensure accuracy and top-notch service.
- Act as the ultimate resource for risks beyond the authority level for less experienced Underwriters.
- Provide training, development, and guidance to colleagues, making you the Jedi Master of insurance knowledge.

**Operational Leadership:**
- Share your insights with the leadership team on underwriting, strategy, staffing, and more.
- Be part of shaping our underwriting guidelines and procedures.

**Other Cool Stuff:**
- Team up on special projects and assignments when called upon.

**Qualifications - Are You the Chosen One?**

- 7+ years of Underwriting experience, with a deep understanding of the Transportation and Logistics sector.
- Completed or pursuing your CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations.
- A strong background in customer service.
