Senior Bilingual Claims Adjuster 

Based in Toronto or Montreal

Our client is based downtown Toronto looking for a claims professional to take on a new and exciting role.  They are a very well established brokerage but continue to grow rapidly as they continue to add cutting edge services and products.  They are professional and committed to excellent service to their clients and take a lot of pride in the internal culture they have developed over the years.     

 

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

  • Experience in Commercial General Liability, Bodily Injury (BI) and/or Accident & Benefits (AB), Third Party Property Damage, First Party Property Damage claims
  • Bilingual language skills (verbal, written and presentation) in French and English
  • Advanced written communication which may involve technical terminology
  • Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing and the ability to negotiate when required
  • Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information; including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics
  • Strong analysis ability to be able to effectively draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to deal with highly sensitive issues, allowing to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations
  • Demonstrated Relationship Building skills to address urgency of issues and timely responsiveness
  • Proactive and positive approach to customer servicing to ensure that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 – 10 years of related insurance claims based experience
  • Bilingual in French and English  
  • Experience with multi-unit food, beverage or retail organizations - nice to have but not a must
