This brokerage is currently looking for a strong Insurance Broker to act as the Account Associate working in close partnership with their assigned Account Team on Construction clients. This role is focused on growth and retention of a book of mid-sized and large accounts. Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides our internal and external clients with prompt, courteous and professional service
  • Prepares client pre-renewal and renewal packages, policies, submissions, binders, letters, summaries and invoices in a timely manner
  • Analyzes client coverage, exposures and loss experience to determine risk requirements
  • Reviews policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepares marketing submissions with responsibility for correspondence and negotiations with underwriters
  • Assists in collection of Accounts Receivables while adhering to This brokerage I
  • Practice file management standards
  • Calculates and invoices transactions. Prepare premium financing contracts and other monthly payment plan options
  • Reviews requirements and executes issuance of certificates of insurance
  • Works in partnership with Accounts Receivable on client collections actions on outstanding accounts while updating the Account Manager on status or required support.
  • Prepares marketing submissions with responsibility for correspondence and negotiations with underwriters
  • Participates in client renewal meetings
  • Provides suggestions for continuous improvements in workflows and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial insurance as a broker or underwriter
  • Commercial construction insurance knowledge or experience an asset i.e. Property, Builder’s Risk and Wrap-up Liability)
  • RIBO Licensed
