The Opportunity:

Our client is looking for an inquisitive and well-read insurance professional who enjoys breaking down policy wordings to customers and helping them navigate through what can be a stressful claims process. The successful candidate will become our client’s next Accident Benefits Claims Advisor and will be trusted to represent the firm on the front lines. Looking to take the next step and handle more complex claims while you work towards furthering your insurance education then

 

Responsibilities:

  • Dive into first party injury claims and handle from start to finish including investigating and settling them
  • Explore and interpret insurance policy wordings and determine policy coverages and reserves
  • Work to stay on schedule and make sure all parties involved are aware of the timeline of claim settlements
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure that all needs are being met and that solutions have been optimized
  • Work to provide outstanding customer service by listening to customers and working with team members to come up with streamlined systems
  • Advise distribution partner on possible coverage opportunities
  • Other tasks as required

About You:

You are truly interested in the ins and outs of insurance and take pride in your ability to interpret policy wordings. You are able to explain complex insurance concepts in a way that the average customer can understand. Qualifications:

  • You have worked (or are working) to achieve an insurance designation or a related university/college degree
  • At least 1 year of experience working in Accident Benefits
  • Dedication to superior customer service
  • Extremely comfortable working on a computer and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal through a variety of mediums
  • Ability to work in a team as well as the ability to be trusted to accomplish complex tasks individually
  • Fluency in other languages would be considered a strong asset
