The Opportunity  

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic leader to join our team in the role of Team Lead, Personal Lines.  The successful candidate must have a complete and thorough understanding of personal lines insurance.  Mentorship and coaching ability of all levels will be considered.  Formal leadership is not required so long as the person is excited about leading!!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Train and onboard new staff
  • Implement procedural changes specific to personal lines
  • Lead employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling of work assignments and PL book of business
  • Act as a liaison between the insurance companies and the personal lines department
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Present and explain products to clients
  • Stay aware of market trends
  • Take calls and act as key source of information.
  • Document and resolve complaints, problems and concerns.

About You:

Ideally, you have over 5-10 years experience in a Personal Lines role. You are an easy-going leader who fosters mutual respect between you and your team. You work hard and lead by example, when there is a tough task you tackle it yourself instead of dishing it off. Communication is your biggest strength and you are able to get your message across to individuals of all different backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must hold a Level 2 General Insurance License
  • CAIB or CIP would be considered and asset
  • Able to travel when necessary
  • Teaching or coaching experience
  • Conflict resolution and objection handling skills with both clients and team members alike
  • Comfortable accepting the blame as well as distributing the credit
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products with strong computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing
