Intermediate Commercial Marketer for our Burnaby Office

Our client, a leading regional brokerage, is seeking an Intermediate Marketer & Placement Specialist. This position will service a portfolio that includes construction, equipment, and property. The successful candidate will be expected to provide placement solutions for clientele on behalf of the firms’ Account Managers and Executives.



  • Negotiate terms for a large book of business, primarily made up of construction contractors and projects
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key personnel, trends, and pricing within the Canadian insurance market
  • Work with internal staff and clients to successfully coordinate the placement of Accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, partners, and coworkers in order to maintain long-term growth and retention


  • 2+ years of commercial property/casualty business
  • Candidates MUST HAVE a CAIB Level 2 designation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and administration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • CIP, FCIP, or CRM designations are considered major assets; as is enrollment and demonstrated effort towards earning those designations
